Horses of Iceland had a fantastic week at Equitana in Essen, Germany from the 9th to the 15th of March. As one of the World's largest  trade fairs in the horse industry, Equitana drew over 112,000 visitors this year. Our stand received an overwhelming response, and close to 300 people participated in a game by registering for our Newsletter.

Icelandair Cargo

generously provided the prize, a 70,000 ISK voucher with Icelandair, which was won by Stella. Congratulations, Stella!

Equitana also marked the beginning of a partnership between Horses of Iceland and IPZV (read all about it

here

) and we were thrilled to see how invested IPZV members are in promoting the Icelandic horse breed and seeing their community grow. We look forward to collaborating with them in the future! Special thanks go to the youth team and the sport team of Rheinland for doing a great job showcasing the Icelandic horse's great characteristics every single day of the fair.

It´s truly impressive to experience the interest in the Icelandic horse in Germany.. Our stand was always full of people, and we were delighted to see a number of other stands dedicated to the Icelandic horse or inspired by the breed, Icelandic nature, and culture.

We are extremely grateful to all our partners for their support: we couldn't promote our great horse so effectively without them! We also thank all our visitors and hope they had as much fun visiting us as we did meeting them.

If you weren't able to attend, we've got you covered with some photos and a short video clip made by Siegersbusch FILM that we hope make you feel like you were right there with us.
